Our History
We are Josh and Becki Golightly, we have three young girls, ages 7, 5 and 2. We first fell in love with doodles when our beloved Australian Shepherd passed away at 13 years of age. She was our constant companion, great with our girls and truly a best friend on 4 legs. When she passed it left a huge hole in our hearts. We started researching and looking for a low to non shedding, least allergenic dog to add to our family and to help heal our hearts. That’s when we stumbled upon a local doodle breeder. The owner immediately welcomed us into her family and was very sympathetic to our situation. We fell in love with their matriarch Goldendoodle momma and choose to put a deposit down for 2nd female pick of the litter. Long story short, we ended up with Miss Nala. After almost a year Nala’s beeder and I were talking and it was brought up that we should consider letting Nala join her breeding program. After a lot of thought and prayer, we said yes! Throughout the span of her litters, we have developed a passion for breeding & the community we’ve grown. Since that day we decided to become guardians, we have whelped hundreds of puppies for that breeder and her program. That is what has brought us where we are today and how we became Walk with Me Doodles. We are so honored and grateful for the journey that brought us to where we are now. We are proud of our breeding program and the changes we have made, since branching out on our own. We breed for health & temperament, color is a perk, but not our focus, because of this we have consistency in the temperments of all our puppies. They are the perfect family companions, social, kid-friendly and sweet. We hope each of the families that join us, see the heart & vision we have for our program.
